I caught an interesting thread title on the July 2006 DDC and saw all sorts of cool thread topics going on in addition to the general "is this typical of a pregnant woman?" type threads and I scanned through a bunch of their pages. I saw a 20 questions type thread on another ddc. I thought that might be fun. I was thinking of asking the OP of the thread if I could copy her 20 ?s, they were really good, I thought. Maybe we could try that?

I'd love to see a 2nd trimester swap. We're all approaching the end of our 1st tri's, and (forgive me if this sounds really insensitive) after the first trimester is over we'll have a more permanent list of who will be here to the end.<br><br>
I know it was very hard for me to receive so many of the gifts that were being sent to me from swaps AFTER my son died, and pick up all the cards that said, "Congratulations on your beautiful baby!" or "What a miracle" etc, imagining him wearing those booties and shirts...<br>
I would guess it would be a similar feeling for moms who have suffered miscarriages.

That doesn't sound insensitive, mama. I actually think the opposite, that you're being very sensitive. A 2nd trimester swap sounds great. And hey, does the 2nd trimester start after 12 weeks or not officially until after 14?

birth bead swap would work kind of like this:<br><br>
each person who wants to participate would X number of beads out to the other mamas participating (we could each send them on our own or we could send them to one person along with some shipping money who would them divide them up and send them out to the other participating mamas). each mama participating could string them on a necklace or a bracelet or do whatever with them and always have a reminder of other mamas who are going through the same pregnancy and birth process as she is. it's a nice reminder when in labor to touch your necklace or bracelet and know someone is wishing you well. you can do a search on google for blessingway birth beads and read a whole bunch more ideas about them.<br><br>
