My DD is already outgrowing her Toddler Carseat by height wise and was wondering what carseat/booster seat would work. We currently have the Graco Sport one and she likes having the cup holder on the side but we have found some faults with it and especially not having another strap place high enough. Uggh. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks...

I'm assuming this is for Olivia and you have the Graco Comfortsport? Totally understandable in that case b/c it has the lowest slots on the market and many children outgrow that seat SUPER fast. Do have a budget in mind? I like the Britax Regent if you're looking for something that is forward facing only. It's great quality and lasts a long time, but not necessarily soemthing that is in everyone's budget.

Jennifer-yes the comfortsport is the one that we have. I got it when our Toys'rus was going out of business and so we didn't have to pay that much for it. But now I am realizing why it was so cheap. Livy is about 32lbs and I don't know how tall she is but I do notice that the straps are very uncomfortable to her. We don't have a lot of money to use towards these seats because my dh is a cop and well they don't make a lot of money at all and I work based on commission only. So if I do have some income come into the house it goes towards bills. Would I be of any fault to get a used one if it has never been in an accident? I look on Craigslist all the time. Thanks...

I wouldn't use a used one unless you know the people VERY well and KNOW they took care of it, have all the pieces, and it's never been in a crash. If she's 32# already, I'd be concerned she might hit 40# before 4 (the earliest it's reccomended to use a booster). How has her growing pattern been? AJ has been very predictable so I know he'll be about 39# at 4, but some kids grow differently. In that case, I'd look for a seat that harnesses past 40#. The cheapest though is $130 and requires headrests to use it. If you don't think she'll hit 40# before 4, you could look into something like the Evenflo Generations for her. It has higher strap slots and makes a good booster once she hits 40#.
