Is it good or bad.<br>
I made an appointment for the 15th before I realized I was pregnant. I'm torn as to whether I should just cancel or talk to the woman first. She's very natural and holistic.

Oh, totally go! I got massages while pregnant and was in heaven! Just make sure to tell her you are pregnant--there are certain points she needs to stay away from.

The spa I go to recommends waiting until the 2nd trimester. I'm not sure why, but they won't do it... They will do facials with a light upper body massage though.

a lot of spas won't do massage in the 1st tri, not b/c it will cause any harm but b/c of liability reasons. just call and be upfront with them. it is 100% safe.

I've been going to my LMT regularly (monthly) since last March. She always has told me that if I ever find out I'm pg, to let her know because there are certain areas to avoid. Other than that, I believe that massage is very good for the mother, which is inevitably good for baby! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"><br><br>
This reminds me....I'm about a week overdue for a massage this month! I'd better call for an appt!<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/orngbiggrin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="orange big grin">
