We went to the Smokey Mountains this weekend and stayed in a cabin. There was a washing machine, cool. It was a front loader. After washing my fluff it was all super stiff. All of it! After drying it was a bit better but still pretty crunchy, what does this mean? Hard water? Normal for a front loader? I used my regular detergent, Bio-Kleen. Thanks...

yes maybe that is it, because front loaders use way,way less detergent than top loaders. Most of them tell you to use a special detergent made just for top loaders.

I have new front loaders and can only use HE detergents like Tide. You only need about 1/4 of what you would normally use. HTH

Sounds like too much detergent to me. Also, if you came to the Smokies, you were close to me. I live a few minutes from the Nat'l Park, near Maryville, TN.
