What's the difference between the Diva cup, etc?

I forget the names of the others, but what are the differences?
And are they uncomfortable? I stoped using the sea sponge because my cramps seemed to get worse with it. I'm not sure if it was just because it was my first couple periods after having dd (14 months later!), but since then I've been afraid to try it again.

I like the idea of the diva Cup, I'm just a bit afraid to try it, lol.

I just won mine at the wahmchicks auction for 16.00!
I think the main difference between the dc and the keeper is the keeper is rubber and the dc is medical grade silicone.
there are some on ebay right now for a great deal too.
I can't wait to get mine!
I have used the sponge, and currently 'instead'. I hear the dc/keeper is better than the instead-no leaks and very comfy-once you trim the tail and learn how to insert it.
here's the link to one on ebay

I had much less cramping w/the Keeper compared to tampons. I think it's because it creates a slight suction (not dangerous!) that helps the flow come out quickly and smoothly. It also made my periods shorter!

I'm pregnant now
and thrilled about it, but I actually miss using my Keeper--it's so cool! I haven't tried the Diva Cup, but I will if the Keeper doesn't fit postpartum. The Diva is less expensive, and there's theoretically a lower risk of infection, but it's the same shape.

I have a diva cup, it is medical grade silicone like someone mentioned already. After the first day or so of learning curve and I actually figured the thing out I do like it, it seemed my cycle was a day shorter and not as heavy as it usually is. That's cool
. And except when it needed to be emptied after I cut the stem I didn't feel it at all. When it gets full it moves down a bit and then I can feel it but that's ok with me since then I know it needsto be emptied.

Ditto what she said. I
mine. This cycle I only had maybe an hour of semi-cramps. You'll probably need to cut off the stem. And it does seem to move down a bit when it's getting fuller.

When I used tampons and plastic pads, I was in bed for a day and a zombie the next from cramps. Did I mention I love mine?

I've had both the Diva Cup and The Keeper. Diva cup wins hands down in my book. It is much more comfortable and flexible. Both have a warrenty and you can return them if you don't like them. The stick is pretty useless on the Diva cup, I cut mine off. It's easier to just grip the bottom and twist while you put it out. They are still returnable if you cut the stick.
The Keeper (natural rubber) and Mooncup (medical grade silicone) are exactly the same shape. The DivaCup (medical grade silicone) is very slightly shaped differently. The DivaCup has the longest warranty.

I went for the DivaCup and bought it at nurturemama.com because she had a sale at Christmas time. In fact, I think the DivaCup is 20% off right now: http://www.nurturemama.com

I've only used mine one cycle, AF returned at 13mo pp over a month ago. It looks like my cycles will be wacky for awhile.

PS- even though the tail on the DivaCup is short, I still had to trim it a bit... made a big difference and I may trim it some more. You don't want to pull on just the tail for removal anyway, you really need to break the suction first.

PPS- check out this yahoogroup, a bunch of terrific ladies! http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MoonKeeperDivas/
