thing you've found in your washing machine or dryer after doing a load of diapers???? <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/wash.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="wash"><br><br>
I stopped 'dunking' awhile ago and I find some very interesting things in my washer. The latest, and the most disgusting is partially digested strawberries! They look like big ugly spiders at first glance. I can handle the grape and bean skins just fine but the strawberries have me squirming!

Okay as dumb as this sounds It doesn't bother me at all to totally dunk a diapers (As in get my hands dirty) but it totally grosses me out if there are 'presents" left in the washer! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">: <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">:<br><br>

I also find it gaggy to find thing in my washer but not to dunk. Granted I have a mini shower now, but still. My dd had an accident once and didn't tell me. After I washed the clothes I was throwing them in the dryer and chunks were falling out all over the place. I was soooo disgusted. I took all the clothes shook the out and rewashed them and double checked when the wash was done. Now had so told me I would have dumped the items and washed no problem, but to find them in the washer AFTER it had run was just GAG.

Now I am just the opposite: would much rather wipe down the washer than dunk. I do a double prerinse that takes care of most of the chunks, it's just the undigested food that's left.<br><br>
Now if I were finding chunks of actual poo, I'd be ordering a mini shower or 3 that's for sure!

Thankfully my toddler is mostly potty training so I don't have to deal with chunks in the washer too often since the baby isn't on table food and toddler is mostly using the toilet.<br><br>
But when you have a kid puke and the stuff is so gross you just want to toss it in the washer and those left over chunks are the worst <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/grossedout.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="gross">

Not really gross, but I find potato skins in the machine <i>all</i> the time. It freaks me out every time...what the...what's that brown thing??!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/yikes.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="EEK!"> Oh, it's just potato skin. :LOL

It wasn't diaper laundry (it was before I had the baby), just a regular load. McKenna had an accident and didn't tell me, just put her undies in the hamper. I washed and dried the laundry , but there was this smell ... At the bottom of the dryer, I found a bunch of perfectly round poop pebbles (she has always pooped like a rabbit, lol!)!! Needless to say, the washer and dryer were cleaned out and THAT load of laundry was rewashed!

I've found my fair share of corn, pea skins, carrots, grape skins, raisins, dried cranberries, etc. I think it's funny that those things can survive chewing, traveling through my child, into the diaper, survive a swish/dunk in the toilet, go through the washer and into the dryer and still come out looking the same way it originated! :LOL
