Okay. so, as i write, my 2yo is in bed after only 40 min of nap bawling! why? couldn't tell ya!

But he does this all night and throughout his naps. I have an infant as well - so, when i was about 5 months preg, i sleep weamed my ds (he was barely giving me an hour at a time!) But, now, all night he will say, "I nurse?" Reapeatedly, even after explaing to him that it is ni night time. Then. all day he is rubbing his eyes, whining, getting frustrated, tantrums etc.... I know it is partly due to him being 2, but..... it seems a BIT MUCH! :

Do you think it could be food allergies?

Could be adjustment to the new member of the family. a very effective tool for neutralizing behaviours like this is EFT - Emotional Freedom Techniques. The website is www.emofree.com. It's free, you can download the manual, teach yourself, and read case histories of how EFT has been used to help a variety of things. It certainly helped us with temper tantrums, sleep issues, scary monsters and such.

Thank you,

I don't really get what it is though - I am not so good at that type of thing. Could you just explain it real quick in laymand terms?

it's an energy modality where a person taps on specific acupuncture points to clear energy blockages caused by underlying emotions. A person can do this herself or can surrogate for her child. You must state the intention sentance, for example, if a child has a jealousy problem with a sibling and will physically act out, you can state: even though I'm jealous of the attention my sister receives from mom, I totally and profoundly accept myself and choose to remain cool and calm when I feel jealous and choose to not hit my sister. You repeat the sentance as you tap on the appropriate points until the intensity of the emotion is lowered or gone completely. In my experience, it has eliminated many stuck emotions felt from in the womb to present in my 4 year old.
The sentance reminds the brain of the task we are completing, like giving the computer a command. Once that's set, the brain goes about opening the energy blockages allowing the body to heal. Many energy modalities work in the same way, just a different means to an end.
A personal note: My DD had many ASD behaviours. EFT was key in relieving the frequency and intensity of these behaviours, especially the three hour tantrums and self abuse - pulling hair out etc. You cannot trick a 2-3 year old, which was her age when these behaviours were at their peak. She responded quickly, although it often took more than one tapping session. We've also used it to eliminate her cat allergy. Yep, it can be used to eliminate all allergies and intolerances. If you know what they are, you can tap them out. She was three when we did the cat allergy and it has not returned. DD now 4 will initiate her own tapping and mutters her own made up sentances of intent and taps away on her self. I believe that if it didn't help her to feel better and deal with life better, she wouldn't do it...
It's worth looking into or finding a practitioner familiar with the modality to teach you how to do it Often, practitioners will use a laser, the same frequency as a healthy body, instead of tapping. This can speed the process and eliminates the stress on the practitioners energy reserves that tapping will affect.
