So, I was in AC Moore this evening... didn't really mean to buy much, but ended up in the yarn/knitting section. I picked up a "learn to knit" kit recommended by the employee who was sitting there knitting (even has lefty instructions). I also got some wool yarn. I'm going to practice the basic stitches tonight and then soon try to make a soaker! What FREE patterns do you knitters recommend? Links, please!
Really, I'm doing all this just so I can add
to my sig... :LOL
Ok, I also picked up some procion dyes. Who knew how much fun dyeing the prefolds would be???!!!!????? I already dyed 3 of them blue. Right now they are in the washer. A couple of questions:
How many times do I need to wash them before I can be fairly confident they won't ruin the other dipes?
It seems like I could fit more than 1 lb of fabric in the 3 gallons of water. I even weighed my prefolds, and it was 3 of them. When I was done I had a HUGE amount of blue water to dump out. Is it possible to re-use it even though the soda ash has already been added? (I followed the directions on the dye container exactly).
Tomorrow I'm dyeing more prefolds green and yellow. And next time I'm in AC Moore I'll probably pick up orange, red, and purple so I can make a rainbow!
Thanks!
