What is your natural plan for if you are loosing too much blood after the birth?

A friend of mine suggested drinking Chlorofresh (mint flavored) by Nature's Way, but I don't think I could handle the taste of that stuff. I'm interested in other natural options to control bleeding.

I plan on eating part of the placenta. If that doesn't work, I plan on using all the drugs my midwives have. I had a severe pph with my first that did not respond to drugs and required a d&C. It was scary, and I am not going to mess around with it, nor will I transfer to the hospital unless I have tried everything.

I would consent to a leg shot of pitocin if breastfeeding doesn't work.

In order of what we'd try, and assuming the cause is uterus not closing down in a timely manner and placental site is bleeding: put the baby to the breast, take chlorophyll and floridix, focus on stopping the bleeding, if baby is uninterested in nursing do nipple stimulation, shepherd's purse tincture, clamp/cut cord earlier than planned and put placenta piece in mouth, shot of Pitocin, hospital transfer. The first two I'm doing regardless of bleeding.
