I have an 11m dd, I work ft, and pump like a champ : . All is well. BabyM has no intention of weaning, nor do I. I do, though, plan on quitting the pumping at work thing at the end of this month. I have bucketloads of milk saved.

She nurses at 5:30 before I go to work, she takes 10 oz. during the day with the DC provider (an angel, I tell you! she even wears dd in a sling!), and usually twice more before bed, at around 4:30 and then again at 7 or so. She sleeps all night...maybe 8/10 nights, but if she does wake up, she nurses as much as she needs.

When we are home together, she nurses 5 times or so, maybe more. Rough times are usually like 5:30, 9:00, noonish, 3, 6:30 and just before bed.

My question is this:

What do your nursing days look like?

I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.

As she gets older, I am venturing in to unchartered territory, since my ds was weaned at 9 mos (don't get me started about the guilt I feel over that!).

So, please, do tell...what's your "nursing day like??

Hmmm....where should I start?

DD (almost 2 yrs) wakes up between 4 & 6AM (although today it was 2:45...ugh!) and nurses, then is up for the day. We go downstairs, eat breakfast, and she nurses. Her brothers get up, I nurse ds#2. DD sees ds#2 nurse and "has" to nurse. It's now 7AM.

On days I'm home (I work ~10 hours a week), my dd nurses every time I sit down or asks to nurse every 2 hours or so. Ds#2 usually nurses just in the AM and right before bed.

DD nurses on and off all night...I have no idea how many times, as I don't always wake up when she latches on (I've been nursing for 5.5 years straight ... 18 months of that triandem nursing and all but 19 months of it (from when ds#1 was born until ds#2 was born) tandem nursing.)

Remember...every child is different. My first son and my daughter were/are nurse-around-the-clock types of kids. My second son, for his first 2 years, nursed a couple times during the day and every two hours at night.

its weird - i work 2 days a week but for my dad so my boys come with me while my mom watches them. ds (13 months on wed) will nurse maybe once during the day and that is late in the day (around 3:30ish) or not at all. he gets his rda :LOL in the early morning (around 6ish am) and at nite sometime (not always before sleeping though). i honestly can't tell you his schedule - it is soooooooo varied!
