They're the only sposie I know of that doesn't have any of the chemical gel **** in them at all; even most eco-disposables attain at least some portion of their absorbancy through this gel. Tushies are all cotton, I think, inside. We used them during an international journey of 36 hours last summer (2005) and had no leaks, and they are possibly less horrid than most sposies, but still pretty papery and ick to a devoted cloth mama. We've found ways, since, even on long trips, to avoid using anything but our cloth, but if I absolutely had to use a sposie, I would use this brand again to avoid the chemical gel all of the others contain.

I've heard the leaking think from others but I have NEVER had that problem. I have used them for both my girls and really found them to be just fine. My sister just said she had the same problem with her son and Seventh Generation diapers--they leaked as soon as he would pee. I've used those too and have never had that problem. Maybe my girls don't pee a lot??

I used them when ds was tiny. I liked them a lot. You just have to change them more frequently I guess. They advertise now that they have an extra liner that you can get to absorb more I think.

I always felt good when I'd pull a diaper out of that plastic bag with all the deer and animals on it. I'm a total sucker for clever advertising!

I've used them on occasion. I keep a few in the diaper bag for "emergencies", I used them on the day we moved, and a few other occasions. I have never had a problem with leaks. I use the regular Tushies. My sister has used both the regular ond the Tender Care Tushies, and her opinion is that the Tender Care leak.
