My teething 11 month old constantly chews on books despite my efforts to persuade him otherwise.
It just occurred to me last night that wheatpaste is sometimes used in the binding -- maybe even especially in his board books.
Do you think this could be a cause of the eczema in the corners of his mouth? I know it could also be food related...but the mouth eczema comes and goes and I cannot figure out a correlation. He nurses, and I use Vanicream soap for myself.
We avoid corn, dairy, eggs, gluten and soy.
Maybe it's out there. Anyone else considered this?
