I'm thinking I'd like to to try putting my DD in the seat of the shopping cart. I've been wearing her for shopping, but it would be great to have a bit of a break now and again. (And I just got a new shopping cart cover that I'm dying to sport.

) She is 7 months old and sits up really well. Is that the only thing she needs to be able to do? Are there other safety issues I need to be concerned about?

My DD is 9.5m and she's been sitting in the shopping cart for about 2 months. She loves it. Our only problem is that she wants to chew on it, but that problem is solved with a shopping cart cover. Her back doesn't meet the seat back, but I roll up a small blanket and squish it between her and the back of the seat, trying to stablize her.

my dd is 6 mo and she sits great in a shopping cart...except for that pesky wanting to chew on it!!! GROSS...but if you have a cover...i'd say get out there and sport it!

I'd do it now, I did it earlier with dd.
I want to get one of those shopping cart covers though. I didn't know about them last time.
