A. is one (tomorrow!), and so far she has basically set her own bedtime, though it's relatively consistent. I'd like to develop a set bedtime, but I'm not sure how to go about it. Suggestions please!

I always follow their lead. My 2nd gave up her naps around 2, and her bedtime dropped from 9/9:30 to 7:30/8. My 1st has been really consistent from the beginning, 7/7:30.

I've also taken my DD's lead (13 mo.) and then tried to get her to bed at the same time which she was usually great about... but sometimes she wants to go to sleep much later and I don't know what to do... we usually just let her get her energy out, but it's frustrating not to have a few hours to our selves! Right now she's in one of those phases and I am making a real effort to get her down @ 7:30-8:00 like she used to. I've also noticed that if she takes a nap too late in the day she tends to stay up late. I'm hoping to get her on a regular nap/sleep schedule soon.
