Iam not due for 7 more weeks but my belly is real low this is my 4th child could that be why or does it mean I will deliver earlier than we thought? when is the baby suppose to drop?

You know, I don't know, I never could tell! I feel like I'm carrying lower this pregnancy, mainly due to the fact that it wasn't so long ago that there was another baby in there, and my old, worn-out uterus just isn't in the mood to keep things high.

They say that you feel less pressure to pee and that you feel more pressure in the pelvic floor, but I always felt that way (and the urge to pee NEVER let up), so I can only scratch my head.
This one and the last one will be 21 months apart.
I'm carrying really low too... I haven't had an internals, so I don't know if baby is actually engaged, but s/he is reallllly low. My mw commented on it at my 34w prenatal.

My ds didn't engage until labor, but I carried him really low and had tons of pelvic/bladder pressure so looks like I'm following that trend. My first baby dropped at 28 weeks. I've read that 2nd+ babes don't usually engage, but they do sometimes. I just carry low.
my midwife also commented at my last appointment how low the baby is... and there are certainly cervical sensations and whatnot going on which she attributed to baby nestling his/her head down... i love that image!

I *think* i look lower... but it's hard to tell. Definitley less heartburn... i have another appt. on wednesday- its' our home visit- so we'll see what they say then.

i have also heard that multips don't engage until labor...

what's the difference btw. drop and engage?

I think they're the same thing... when baby's head drops/engages into mom's pelvis. I find myself using them interchangeably, I should make sure I'm using them right!

And my heartburn hasn't been as bad this week.
Yippee!

I dropped a few days ago - I noticed because I could breathe when I sat down, and could eat more than a few bites before feeling STUFFED.
Iam 32 weeks along and this is my 4th child my kids are 20/15/19 months old can you drop this early?
Ellymay how many weeks along were you when you dropped?

Yep, that happened to me about 2 or 3 weeks ago I think. And I feel way more pressure and such down low. Baby doesn't stay really low all the time though.
I guess sometimes he or she just misses the scenic view from the top floor.

I think I dropped lower last week (I'm 34 weeks) but I also agree that some of this has to be attributed to the fact that I did absolutely nothing to get my abs back in shape after dd was born. I am so afraid of what these stretch marks are going to look like after this one.
With ds, I never noticed "dropping" so I'm not expecting to notice this time either...
I'm just about 35 wks along and I have a feeling this baby dropped a week ago. This is my 3rd pg and the 2nd pg in which I've carried so low. The baby has been low for so long that it's been messing w/my sciatic nerve. It's in the last week that this baby is now vertical and not horizontal and when I walk, I feel as if I have a bowling ball in between my legs. I don't know if I'm describing it right but it sure is uncomfy and painful!

29 weeks. My DS had been breech all through my pregnancy so I had never felt anything like it, his head was up under my heart all through the last trimester. I felt when it happened, it was bizarre, but one of the neater experiences of this pregnancy, DH was right next to me.

Oh boy, I'm a sappy mess today!
