I'm just intrested in when people's babies became mobile. My dd is 9 1/2 months old. She soesn't crawl but she sits on her butt and pivites all over the place

Every child is diferent. My first dd was crawling at 4 months and walking at 7 months.
My first ds was crawling at 7 months and walking at 10 months.
My second dd was crawling at 5 months and walking at 10 months.
My third dd is crawling and trying to learn how to walk and she's 8 months old.

My two best friends have babies that are a week apart from my dd, and their babies are still learning to roll over, but they both have older siblings that carry them all the time and if they are put down, it is in a car seat or high chair or swing, never on the floor.

In my family, we sleep on the floor, so I think that has a lot to do with my children's early mobility. I also do not have a lot of furniture, so we spend a lot of time sitting or laying on the floor and I don't have to be scared about limiting their mobility. ie-fall off the bed, or roll off the couch, kwim?

My son crawled at 9 months, started pulling up and cruising a few days later, and did not walk on his own till 16 months. We'll see about my daughter...she is 6 weeks so not doing either yet.

that's considered a form of crawling. not all babies crawl the traditional hand-knees way. it's cute!

My 1st didn't crawl until around 10 months or so, and walked around 13-14 months.

Julia started scooting around on her bottom at 7 months, but didn't actually crawl until 9 months. She started walking at 11 1/2 months.

I figure it counts. :LOL the only time I worry is when people ask me if she's crawling and then look horrified when i say no. :

I think DD1 was crawling at 7 or 7.5 months. She walked a few weeks before she turned 1.

DD2 has rolled over 1 time, front to back, at 7 weeks. She was really mad about that whole tummy time thing. It hasn't happened since.

my ds did exactly that! He crawled at 10 months, 1 week, 3 days! And it took him abouta week after that to figure out that crawling meant he could get everywhere, lol. He'll be 1 in a week and he cruises really well (been doing that for a while though) and crawls all over...a little too unsure to walk yet.

older ds crawled at 9 1/2 months, 3 days after taking his first steps! After that he used crawling and walking to get everywhere, before that he was not mobile at all.

Hypatia started crawling at 6 months, she started cruising at 7 months a few days after that she stood up and took a few steps and now at 9 1/2 months she takes about 4 steps and then sits herself down - she has had some falls that were pretty painful (straight backwards) and I think she is afraid.

HE could get around pretty well in his walker at 3 1/2 months, now at 4 1/2 months he can do he army crawl fairly well.

DH1 was walking while holding onto furniture at 7 months and walking independantly at 8 months. I hope DS2 takes longer to learn to do that, I perfer not to have to chase him all over the house that young :LOL

Erin is 5.5 months and not crawling yet. I suspect it might be a while since she's didn't start rolling over until about a month ago.
