I know this has been posted in (many) a previous thread, but I thought an update would be really nice. :

Besides, my dd is just turning 1 and I am starting to get tired of cleaning up little puddles all over the place and wanted to see some light at the end of the tunnel! :

So go ahead, brag! Brag! Brag! You've earned it. Any graduate stories too would be nice to hear. Like "the last miss" or "dry though the night?!" <--We're still working on that one. <sigh>

Ben started at 12 months. We were part timers. He graduated at 26 months.
Jeff is 10 months and he is way advanced compared to Ben in some ways, but still pretty far off. I expect he will graduate around the same time frame.

24 months she graduated to full time undies.

We did EC from 2 weeks on, but always had diapers. I was often lazy about catching pees, but she always pooped on the potty except for a few rare misses....I was not on the pees very much at all as she approached two as I was getting lazy about it. But was gonna be more available/ working less after her 2nd birthday and so I knew I'd have time to focus on it. I drew her a poster of her on her sedcond birthday in undies, stuck it on the bathroom wall and did stickers for pees and we started really trying to get her to a potty for as many pees as we could, prepping her that at 2 she was going full time in undies. We did that for about a month, then the mornign she was two we gave her a pack of undies and she was so excited and knew the day had come! Its been two weeks and she has been in undies day no probelm, but we did dipes at night the first week. She was dry in them too except for one night pee in a dipaer when she did not potty before bed (fell asleep in car on way home) , so we went to undies at night and she is fine. Its bee ntwo weeks undies day, one week undioes night SO I guess we graduated on the much hyped 2 year birthday. I think she could have done it earlier if I'd had the time to focus on it. But its great cause now she is agile enough to manage her own pants nad undies. I think it was gentle and easy. Now she goes with out even telling me. I am sooooo glad we did EC!!!

dropping by the ec forum after a looooong time!
should really write up our whole story ... anyway, i used to track when we reached 1 miss / day (around 10-11 motnhs), 1 / week (shortly after potty pause at around 15 mo) and then 1 / month by around 19-20 months and then 1 miss / 3 months by age2. I probably have it all written down in some post or other. Anyway fwiw we were also late starters but once we started there was no looking back, we took to it running and it's the single greatest skill i picked up from MDC!

Lindy was out of diapers by 8 months, but we still had misses - maybe one every other day until we hit our rough spell from around 11-14 months when it would sometimes be 3 misses a day. Then it got better again, with fewer and fewer misses, and she was more and more likely to let us know when she needed to go. But I still had to be the one to decide when to take her to the bathroom most of the time, or we'd have misses. Then at around 25 months she suddenly got very resistant to going to the bathroom unless it was her own idea and, fortunately, at the same time started consistently letting us know if she needed to go. So I called her a graduate at 25.5 months.

Oh, and nighttime was actually easier than daytime with her. I stopped using diapers at night probably a month before I stopped using them during the day, and we had only the very rare nighttime accident after that. And she started consistently letting me know if she needed to pee during the night well before she would do it during the day - probably by 18 months.

John is 15 months now, and has a lot more misses than Lindy did. He also still uses a diaper at night. He's recently started telling me most of the time when he needs to poop or has started to poop, and has even more recently started telling me sometimes when he's starting to pee (then waiting until I put him on the potty to finish.) I have no prediction about when he'll graduate, but wouldn't be surprised if it's a bit later than Lindy.

We began ECing with DS when he was 4 or 5 months old, and he was dry during the day by 2 yrs and 2 months. For nighttime, we are 98% there at age 4, but he is such a deep sleeper that we do still remind him on a regular basis to go in the middle of the night. Otherwise we wake up to him sobbing because the sheets are soaking wet...

We got going on ECing with DD from the tender age of 2 weeks and I now experience 2 misses a day (my fault being inattentive). My mother tells me I was out of diapers by 13 months so who knows? Maybe DD will be out of dipes earlier than her brother was...

We began EC/PT with our oldest when he was 20 months. He was in undies day and night and totally independent in the bathroom (save for wiping #2's) by his 2nd b-day. He was about the easiest kid I've ever seen convince to use the toilet! lol

My youngest is 17 months, we started EC with him at around 6 months. HE refused to poop in a diaper from birth, so we would just take his diaper down when he would fuss and let himlay on it and he woudl go. Around 6 months I started taking him to the potty for poops, and would catch pees 3/4 times a day too. Around 10 months he started signing potty, for poops, and we caught most pees. At around a year he woudl say 'potty' or 'poopy' and we would go. Now at 17 months he is in undies all day but resisting pooping in the toilet a little. We had a success again last night, after hisbath he got very urgent and I said 'baby need?" and he said 'poopy' and put himon and he went. So hopefully his little spell of not anting to poop in the potty is over. But he's pretty much out of diapers except for night ,and he wakes up dry but sometimes will pee a little before I get him to the potty. but he's doing great at 17 months!
