Title says it all. You'd think I would remember. I just realized that it will be soon - I have my 32 week appt on Friday. Weekly appts start up at some point too, right?

My last of the 4 week appointments was 28 weeks, and then they saw me again at 30, and 32. When i get to 36, I'll start the weeklies and come in at 37 through when I deliver

My CNM medical type stuff was sposed to not go to biweekly, but is bc she's trying to panic me and I'm playing along.

My homebirth midwives don't go to biweekly, just weekly at 36/7-ish weeks. I think.

Mine is exactly the same. I start my biweeklies next week at 30 weeks, then keep with the biweeklies until 36 weeks, then weekly....

I guess I'm pretty much with the pack. Biweekly at 28 weeks until 36 weeks and then weekly until due date. Sounds somewhat standard. For me it is making the time go MUCH faster now that I have to remember which weeks I have appointments. Woo-hoo, we're on the homestretch!

Good luck and happy thoughts until birthdays everyone!!

I had a prenatal at 29 weeks and my next one is next week at 33 weeks and then I guess we'll start the bi-weekly visits... so maybe 35 and 37 weeks and then weekly from there. Hard to believe we're getting so close!

Tomorrow is the first of my bi weekly appts. I think she would have held off a few more weeks except my BP was a little high 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow I will be almost 32 weeks. So I will have a few biweekly and then they will be weekly! I am still shocked that it is already Friday again tomorrow. The weeks are going by quickly.

I had my 32 week appt on Tues. My midwife surprised me by saying, "everything's going great. We'll see you in 4 weeks then 2 weeks" . After the 2nd appt she'll see me each week, BUT there will only be 2 weeks left until due date!

Last time, I was already going weekly & was on a restricted work schedual.

Once the biweekly time started, I had the choice of every 2 or 3 weeks - up to me, mostly because this is my 2nd.

Because I have an anterior placenta, I like to go every two weeks. I feel a little better being more monitored, only because it is hard to me to feel the baby sometimes. Also, ds enjoys being a helper during the visits.

I have an appointment on March 31 when I'll be 35 weeks and 4 days I believe. After that it's every week until birth.

My 2 week appt.s started at 28 weeks, but now yesterday I had an appt. (32 weeks) and don't have another one until 36 weeks, which seems odd, but oh well. And then I only have one more scheduled after that.

I'm on the same schedule as many of you, biweekly after 28 weeks and weekly after 36 weeks.

Just curious, though, why do they make the appointments closer like that? I love my MWs and they're so fun to talk to, but it doesn't seem necessary to have appointments so often?! Not complaining, though!

Most problems are more likely to crop up in the final weeks like pre-e, high blood pressure etc. More frequent visits allow them to either catch or monitor any issues.

I am reading Heart & Hands and just finished the chapter explaining why a midwife needs to see her clients more frequently at the end.
