Does this seem to happen towards the end of 1 year? I can't remember when we got to 1 nap with my older son. And I know they may be different and that its probably very variable but I'd love for my second son to concentrate his sleep into one middle of the day nap. Then it would be easier to plan around and he could actually be at home for his nap. As it is, its always time to drop off/pick up his brother at preschool or go do other things. I'd love to give him a nice, uninterrupted nap at home. Have you gotten to one nap a day? When did that happen for your DC?

My DD will be 8 months next week, and over the last month she's been transitioning to 1 nap a day. She did 3 for about a month and a half, then was doing 2 for a few months, then her first nap got gradually shorter. About 2 weeks ago she just quit going to sleep for the first one and the second one got about an hour earlier. She was sleeping from 10-12 and 2-4, now she sleeps from around 1-4. The exact time varies, but she's pretty consistent in when she wants to go to bed.

ds my is almost 13 months and he still naps 2 x a day. i know several babies who transitioned to one nap well before 1 yr.
for ds, length of the naps do depend on what we are doing, how much he slept the night before etc. i keep thinking he'll be transitioning to one nap soon.
every babe is different. so i, like you, will just have to wait and see.
