I called my mw today and when I tried to schedule my first appointment for 12 weeks, she acted as though that was a long time away. Could be because in the past I've been more hyper about my pregnancies but I'm feeling fine about this pregnancy and see no reason to go in earlier, esp. when I won't be able to hear a heartbeat. Anyway, I agreed to an 11 week appointment. So, when will your first appointment be?

We're moving out of state next month, I'll be 13 weeks then. I don't see any reason to see a provider before our move, so my first appointment won't be until 14 or 15 weeks. I'm not worried about anything, I've done this before, I haven't had any bleeding or anything, and the only reason I can think of to go in before the move is to hear the baby's heartbeat. That would be nice, but we couldn't hear it at 10 weeks with DD#1 anyway, and we ended up waiting until 14 weeks for that. (I'd already had the pregnancy confirmed several times then, so not hearing the heartbeat wasn't that big of a deal... it just happens that early sometimes.)

I am super high risk, so as soon as I get a + I'll call for the appt. So probably about 6 weeks. They'll want to do a u/s, but i may try to pass on it. Seeing the heartbeat isn't going to improve the odds.

I had an HSG done on April 30, and tomorrow I have a follow-up appointment booked. So, I guess tomorrow is my first appointment (4w6d). I spotted pretty heavily all last week and have low progesterone anyways, so I want to talk to the doc about that and possibly take progesterone.

Mine is June 12, which puts me between 8 and 9 weeks. IT's mainly the paperwork/bloodwork stuff. My first "real" appt. is July 11, between 12 and 13 weeks. This is pretty standard for my OB's practice. They do the preliminary stuff about 8 weeks, then the real appts. at 12. They may try to hear the HB w/ the doppler at the 8 week appt. but it's doubtful we could hear it. With my first they did it all at the 12 week appt, but it made the appt. last a couple of hours by the time they did all the paperwork, bloodwork, exam, ect. so they now break it up, and the first appt. is only w/ a nurse, and it's on the Dr.s surgery day, so it's not ususally very busy

Mine is tomorrow, at 7 weeks. I'd also rather wait until closer to 11-12 wks, but I need to do this to get my name on the books---my midwife fills up quickly, and this is how early everyone else due in Jan will be calling. I don't expect much tomorrow, just pee in a cup, medical history, BP, chit-chat, weight.

I actually just got back from my first. Because of PCOS they wanted me in right away, to schedule and early ultrasound and bloodwork and to check about whether or not to keep taking medicine. So I have an ultrasound on the 4th of June and bloodwork and once that is done, I'll be transfering to the midwife! Yipeeee!!!

Mine will probably be around 12 weeks. The OB clinic on post does things the way Free Thinker described...paperwork and bloodwork around 8 weeks, then actual appointment around 12 weeks. I'm planning to UP as much as possible, but because I am active duty I have to have at least the inital appointment to get my profile-stupid little slip of paper that says I can't go to the field, work in the motor pool, deploy...common sense stuff, but in the Army just needs that little piece of paper. After I get that I'll probably "forget" to schedule a 16 week appoint and just call radiology for the 20 week u/s.

Mine is June 4th. I think I'll be about 10 or 11 weeks (not sure, can't remeber my LMP). the first appt. is about an hour long so- all the fun stuff like paper work and blood draws, yay! Hopefully we'll get to hear the hb, I think we heard it pretty early with my other two.

I'm having my first "real" appointment with the mw on June 11th as well. I'll be exactly 10 weeks then.

I'm scheduled for 12 weeks, but my midwife will see me anytime I want, as early as six weeks. It's my preference to wait.

I am going to see her backup OB tomorrow for a PAP, but that's only to meet him in case I need to see him later, and also cause I'm late by a couple months on my PAP. I may get bloodwork done tomorrow, but probably will wait instead to do it with my midwife.

So, I just scheduled the orientation part today. It will be at 9w4d, with the 1st appointment to be at about 12 weeks. They wait that long so they hear the heartbeat at the 1st appt, then your offically considered an OB patient. I'm kind of fluffy though so I'm sure if they'll be able to get it, lol!
