Baby died at 8 weeks, found out at 12 when an u/s was done because of spotting. All my symptoms dissapeared at like 10 weeks, blood hcg at 12 weeks showed levels were going down but were still high. When should I expect them to be at zero? I've been thinking of POAS to make sure there at zero rather then bug the Dr for a blood test. M/C started almost 3 weeks ago, shouldn't levels be at 0 by now?

When I had my miscarriage 4 years ago, it took a few weeks for the number to go down low enough to satisfy my doctor. She was monitoring me every week and it was going down but then sort of plateaued. I had a d & C scheduled in a couple of days when my period started and then the number went below 5 (I think that's what it was. It's been awhile) and that was considered low enough by my dr. I didn't realize that it could go on as long as it did, but every miscarriage is different.

Hope everything works out for you.

I am so sorry you have to go through this. I have gone through it twice and know that I am thinking about you! My levels were less than 5 about a month and a half after I miscarried (at least for #2 - I am not sure about #1...). My midwife told me anything under "10" is considered to be zero. I hope this helps...Good luck and take care...
