I think it must totally depend on the pregnancy. This is my first and I could feel him around 16 weeks. But, I was really thin and muscular to begin with and I think he is just laying in the right position. DH could feel him about 2 weeks later, but we had to be patient because everytime he would try to feel lb would quit moving! haha Good luck!

I think this is different with different people. I was able to feel the baby at 14 weeks and saw the baby move from the outside at about 17 weeks. Dh was able to feel the baby move consistantly at about 20 weeks. With my first pregnancy, I felt the baby at 15 weeks and dh felt the baby around 19 weeks. I just think it is the way you are built that determines a lot of it.

It does depend on the position of the placenta, the baby's position, mom's body type. . . if your placenta is in the front, it will absorb many movements before they can be felt externally.

hmm. well i first felt her kicking at 14 weeks, and her daddy was able to feel her at around 17-18 weeks.

i think it really depends on the person + the pregnancy. i've known some women who couldn't feel the baby move from the outside at all the entire pregnancy, even though the babies were really active.
