When will I show?

I am only 4 weeks but I'm wondering. This is my 3rd child. With my son I didn't show until over 20 weeks. I never got really big because he was born at 34 weeks. With my daughter I was literally in maternity clothes by 5 weeks! I am 4 weeks now and starting to feel bloated. I got rid of all my maternity clothes (and all my baby stuff!) because I was positive I was done with having my own babies (we were going to adopt but that is on hold - long story) so I have nothing. I'm trying to decide whether I should get a couple things now so I have stuff on hand. I am wondering how long I'm going to be able "hide" this.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I guess from previous experiences, you know that you could start showing at any time. I think it wouldn't hurt to get some maternity clothes now, since you're going to need them later on anyway. Plus, it'll be more comfortable for you when you already have them on hand. I'm pregnant for the first time, and I waited until I REALLY needed maternity clothes before buying them (e.g. my pants were straining at the buttons, my belly was starting to poke out from underneath my t-shirts). When I finally got some maternity pants I was like, "Why did I wait so long??? These pants are so comfortable!" I thought maternity pants were the best thing anybody had ever invented, and the person who invented them should have gotten a nobel prize.

So I think it's a good idea to just get some maternity clothes now so you're ready, and you'll be able to avoid any tight-clothes discomfort.
