I talked to one of the HB midwives this morning and scheduled a consultation for DH and I to go to on Jul 6. I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do a HB because my insurance doesn't "approve" of HB but these midwives also work on the barter system so we may be able to work something out!

Now the only thing I need to figure out is if I should go ahead and call my OB's office and let them know or just wait until after the midwife consult. I would still be less than 6 weeks at that point so that should be fine, right?

I'll probably call my doctor next week to make an appointment. Annie..most doctors want to see you sometime in the first trimester..so that should be fine!! Unless you have had low progesterone problems, and need a prescription..I would guess you would want to call as soon as possible.

This is my 3rd time with my midwife/OB group and I know they have no need to see me before 10 weeks, so I haven't even called yet. I remember being really disappointed with my first that they didn't want to see my at 5 weeks. Now I appreciate the extra time!

My OB likes to do an early appt. but assuming all appears well I'm gonna hold off til closer to end of trimester. I own my own doppler and can usually hear HB 9-10 weeks.

Mine is Jul 26th, so I'll be around 9 weeks.
