Where can I get safe paints for my toddler?

I want to start doing some painting with my 15 mo DS. I guess finger paints would be best, but I want to make something with him that we can frame afterward and I'm not sure if finger paints would work well for this. The finger paints we used as kids we kinda blah, and I wasn't sure if they've been improved upon since then? And where can I get them?

Also, where can I get one of those big rolls of paper?

Discount School Supply has tons of great art and crafts supplies. You can get rolls of paper at Costco I think, and I read somewhere that you can get a big roll of newspaper (w/o print) for cheap from the newspaper co.
