He was doing great in his swing but now it's become obvious that he naps best in our bed. I put him down there while I got dressed and he was out by the time I had my t-shirt on

It's a king sized and he's not mobile (maybe he can do a kind of half roll - but I certainly don't see him launching himself off the bed anytime soon). Nevertheless I am uneasy about leaving him in there alone and unsure about how to make it safe for him.

What do you do?

Thanks!

I found a moses basket at a garage sale for 10 bucks and sewed up a new liner for it. I actually havent used it yet, but I think it'll be a great way to have a sleepin' baby safe on the bed. I also used to build pillow barricades around my little ones while they napped.

Same here, except that when DD became mobile I simply taught her how to get off the bed. They pick up how to do it really quickly.

I have a 16 week old and he takes his naps in a moses basket that sits next to me downstairs in our family room. I have 2 older boys so I have to keep him up and safe
My other 2 mainly slept on a mat on the floor.

good luck!!

I don't cosleep, but we do bring the baby in bed with us from time to time. Up until now, I would have let the baby nap in our bed, but he just started scooting, pushing himself upward with his feet. I'd be too worried he'd scoot himself underneath the pillows or get stuck somehow.

I like the idea of a Moses basket, or even a Pack and Play.

Thanks all for your input!

I wish he liked the PNP but he doesn't (actually we are accidental co-sleepers with an empty fancy crib and an empty PNP!... DS had other plans!). Anyway I figured out his problem was that he likes to lie flat so I put a quilt on the family room floor and he seems happy to nap there now.

Actually he even put himself to sleep there which is amazing. I walked off to get something and when I came back he was conked out.

Now that's a Miracle Blanket!
