It's melting into my neck :
It's this part of the pregnancy that gets me. The "face getting fat" phase. I seriously get depressed by this. My neck is even getting bigger. I remember with ds that my neck and face ended up being the same width.

It's all downhill from here. The pretty's gone.

This morning I sat on the bed crying about this superficial angst and ds came over to stroke my face and said maman bobo? It melted my heart. Makes it all worthwhile right ?

Yeah...I never expected to gain wait other than baby wait! My thighs are embarressing...and today I noticed I had dimples in my cheeks - I have never had them in my life nor does anyone in my family! Ugh....I miss my old body....(even though that one had room for improvement )

I totally relate. With my 1st pregnancy, my necklace that usually sits right above my cleavage, turned into a choker...it was so tight I had to remove it. My face was so puffy. Right now my legs are huge from swelling and fat. I try to stay positive but it can be hard. I better get on those proffesional belly pics or I will look like the marshmallow man

PS: Doudat I think you look really good in all your photos, like "one of those cute pregnant ladies"

Right back at you!!! You look gorgeous!
But it's all in the eye of the beholder, right? And I see what used to be there and compare. And when I see the lack of a chin, the horrible cellulite all over my butt & thigh, combined with my sweaty pits (man, I am GROSS!! but yep, I sweat all the time now, lovely), it's a depressing combination. I feel that even my nose is fat.

But hey, in a year, I won't even remember this, right?

Thank you thank you for posting that...I have no chin any more, my nose is huge...and I've been so upset. I didn't realize it happens to a lot of girls! Not too long to go, now.

I hear you! But we are all up on blood volume by 50% now. The placenta needs the extra flow. (if only I could stop co workers from saying - "Oh! I see it in your face now!")

I am so there. I hate getting dressed, I hate looking in the mirror... I don't even like DH coming and chatting with me while I have my bath, because I feel like a whale.

I'm only 30 weeks now. This could realistically go on another 10-12 weeks.

I think I want to go to bed and wake up when it's time to have the baby.

My face gets fatter too, I just puff up. I don't really like it.
I went shopping for some more maternity clothes with my best friend last week. She helped me pick out some cute things, which is really nice. However, she made me try on something I never would have, and said, "gosh, if I was preg. again, I'd totally wear something like that! You know, the whole sexy pregnancy thing." I just don't feel sexy at all. I feel like a beached whale, a huge cow, a house, ...

My thighs are huge, so is my rear, my arms feel big, my face is fat. I am looking forward to losing this weight. I know it's important, my baby needs it, and I am happy that my body is doing what it needs. It's just depressing to see the scale jumping up so much.

Oh my goodness - me too! Every morning when I get up to use the bathroom (ya know, the 4th or 5th time I get up to pee ) I look in the mirror and see my big swollen nose and think, "Is that me??" It's all red and puffy in the morning....the redness goes away as the day progresses....but it still seems larger than usual. Weird! :

I suffer fat-face syndrome and it is my least favorite part of looking pregnant. I love my big belly but why do my cheekbones have to completely disappear?? I just got over the stomach flu and DH commented that he could almost see my face emerging again. I knew what he meant but getting my face back is not worth dehydration!

Yeah, it's causing hot flashes... which are embarrassing, which only exacerbates the problem. I am a big red-faced preggo lady half the time! Agh!!
