I want to cloth diaper but money is limited and MIL buys a lot of our disposables. She at least will go and get the environmentally friendly ones for me.

I do not think she'll want to buy cloth for me so I want to look into it myself.

But where do I start?

If funds were limited I would start with the trading post here and look for PUL covers and prefolds

Yes, go with prefolds and some good, affordable wraps!

Prefolds are soooo affordable and they last and last and last. I think you'll love CD'ing.

Definately check out the trading post here. That is how I got 90% of my stash, for a good price too.

Pre-folds are the most economical I think. Flats may be a little cheaper, you would have to ask some of the mamas here that use them. Good Luck with the shopping.

Okay, so tell me what a good prefold is? And what is a PUL and what would be a good PUL? What is a flat and how do I tell the difference? How many prefolds do I get? How many PUL covers? Can I wash them all together?
