I have such a hard time finding them! Or, do you make your own? If you make your own, what kind of fabric do you use? I feel like I've looked everywhere and tried 5 or 6 diferent fabrics to make my own, and I can't find anything soft, thin, and absorbent enough!

Can't tell you where to buy them--I have a package from K-Mart/Target (can't remember which) and don't much like them. However, I've also used some flannel rags I made from dead pj's and love that so much that I'm going to make some out of flannel one of these days.

I use vintage ones. I've bought them in lots on ebay for reasonable prices. The pretty designs make having a cold more bearable.

The softest, most absorbent hankies we have are just 2 layers of flannel serged together.
