I've been having BH all night and I was wondering where you all feel yours. Mine feels like something balling up real tight under my ribs....I actually think I had more of a "real" contraction earlier because it was lower down and kind of wrapped from the back to the front.<br><br>
Just curious how everyone elses were feeling?

Since I took a long walk today, I am finally having successive BH, but it only feels like my belly tightening from top to bottom and not in a painful way at all, just a tightening all over.

Mine feel like my whole uterus is tightening. If it's a mild one I am just aware of my uterus, if it's a more intense one, I feel the whole thing contracting, not anywhere particular, just all over. it's not at all painful, but there have been a few very intense ones where I've really noticed them.

Mine seem to be in the lower to mid section of my uterus. They are not painful, but they are getting stronger than they used to be. I try to use them as practice to gear up for the real deal!

When are these supposed to start? I'm 36 weeks today and I still haven't had any. Does everyone get them?

My BH feel like my uterus is giving baby a hug, squeezing in on him from top to bottom and front to back and side to side. The "positioning contractions" I've had in some pregnancies have felt more like this too, but focussed more on the bottom, and the contractions I've had this last week or so are ALL at the bottom and feel like a milder version of labour.

Hey Gingerbane, I only just turned 38 wks and in the last week or so started feeling the bh's but I was getting them before because there would be times when I touch my belly and it would be hard as a rock. So you might just not be feeling them. Don't worry you will probably start feeling them more towards the very end.<br><br>

Mine feel like my entire uterus balling up VERY tight and it is very uncomfortable but the past few days I have been having some moderate af type cramping w/ them.

I am like Ellymay, mine are very tight all over. Sometimes they will just be in a certain spot, but lately either all over and very tight or down low and tight and crampy.

I feel them in my cervix and lower back the most, but my entire belly becomes hard and I literally can't even stand up when I get one. It tightens down so much that there isn't room for me to straighten up my back. They are painful, but I don't mind so much. I've been having them for quite awhile so I'm used to them now.

Yes, my RIBS!! I feel like a vise is squeezing my diaphragm and ribs, and when I touch my uterus I can feel that the whole thing is hard. I don't really register sensation lower than the ribs, though, although I know the tightening is there.

mine seem to start and concentrate more on the bottom of my uterus/cervix but my whole uterus gets tight and feels like I'm hugging the baby too. I have them every night at around 7:00 or 8:00 until 10:00. I'm usually at work when they start and luckily I only get a couple ones around 9:00 that are intense enough that anyone would notice. Dp works nights and was off last night and said "are you concentrating on something?" last night when I had one as I was finishing dinner. Nothing painful, just enough to get me to take notice.
