My poor stressed out Nan in the UK is desperatly trying to find 100% Wool to knit me some soakers. Can anyone recommend a shop or two where they sell anything like pure wool?

SHe's in the Brighton area if that's helpful to anyone

Does Oliversmum2000 knit? I didn't know that.

For the pretty hand-painted colours, you want Colinette- click on Skye, which is a standard aran-weight, but you could also use one zero. There's a lovely chap on ebayUK who sells undyed BFL cheap under the name alpacabuyer.
I also like Texere, whose Airedale aran is buttery soft and very nice for cloth nappy wraps. The shipping for HPY to the UK is only four pounds and gets here in under two weeks from the time of ordering. Other than texere, I get a lot of my yarn from the US because it's so much cheaper over there than it is over here, and shipping isn't that expensive if you use global priority.
In Brighton, though, she will be fairly close to kangaroo, which is always worth a visit.
