I have been bit by the handpainting bug!! I bought a few skeins of Cascade 220 at the yarn.com sale, but now it's back up to full price. It is so versatile and useful, I know it would be worth it to stock up.

Are there any sites where you can buy yarn in bulk (Cascade or any dyeable wool) for a good price? Or do they ever do yarn co-ops on the TP?

Peace FLeece will wholesale price to individuals as long as you meet the $100 minimum. The worsted weight is now $4.50/skein (so 23 skeins to meet wholesale) and DK is $4.95 (21 for wholesale). They charge actual shipping via UPS. They have wholesale pricing for almost everything in their catalog (a couple of felting things aren't, and neither is the handpainted yarn).

I don't know if they're taking new wholesale customers right now. I've done a couple co-ops for the yarn, but I can't do another one until the beginning of September.

It really can't hurt to contact the company directly and ask - I've almost always been pleasantly surprised when I've done that - not everyone requires a business ID number - some places are willing to sell to individuals at wholesale pricing as long as you meet their wholesale minimum.
