I looked at the wool yarn sticky but the only listings that said "this store sells very soft wool yarn" were for stores in Uruguay and New Zealand, and I dont' want to pay that much for shipping. Can anyone recommend an online store in the US with really soft, non-scratchy wool yarn?

KnitPicks Wool of the Andes is a good value, soft and non-scratchy and hold up well, IME.

http://www.yarncountry.com/Default.aspx I really like this store. They carry malabrigo yarn which is super duper soft. I also like Cascade Eco, but it's not the softest ever.

I've heard (haven't used it yet, so I can't say for myself) that 100purewool is VERY soft. I can't wait to order from there, the colorways are gorgeous. And it's not very expensive either. I have ordered the merino style from Knitpics and its very soft. I crochet, and I loved working with the stuff.

malabrigo and 100purewool are both super soft, but I'd really only rec. them for little babies. They pill like crazy, and felt at the drop of a hat.
