Where to start?

I had no idea that there were so manny diapers to choose from. I want to trade in my dispozable diapers for some earth and baby friendly cloth diapers.
I have a 16mo girl and I think I want a AIO (is it easier?) and cloth liners.
Please help by telling me your favorite diaper for this age.

Thank you!

We just started cloth diapering recently as well. I was also blown away (and still am I guess) by all of the different products and companies available.

Both of my kids are in toddler sized stuff, and we went with a ton of unbleached cotton prefolds, a variety of covers (we're still trying them all out to see which we like best) and a few different AIOs (which we're also trying out etc).

Good luck!

Thank you informed.

I had one more question, where do you get your CD's from, is there any discount shop you go to?

I switched to CDs when my DS was one year old. I found AIOs to be the easiest to figure out -- they're very daddy-friendly. Now that I've been doing it for a while, I have a mixture of things in my stash -- AIOs, fitted diapers, covers, and prefolds. Some of my favorite sites are:
www.angelwraps.com
www.naturalbabies.com
www.mamessentials.com
www.diaperpin.com -- lots of CD reviews

Be sure and post lots of questions!

I too am new to cloth diapering, but have tried a few different things. I do really like my Bumkins AIO that I have, but it doesn't seem as soft or comfortable on my baby.
I have a few fitted diapers that work pretty good too. What seems to be the best for me is the prefolds. They are cheap, and they work just as well--I've had no leaks yet. So far I've been having to use cheap vinyl Gerber covers since I'm waiting for the wraps I ordered to come in the mail.

I bought the prefolds in a package at naturalbabies.com as well as some AIOs. Others I've gotten from other mamas and ebay.

You will find that there is one type of diaper for every type of mama out there, and you won't know which type you like unless you try them. I did not believe it at first when I was told to get a samples instead of buying all at once. It is true...

BabiesInTheSun has a GREAT sample package with basically one of each of the most popular CD options out there.

EarthBaby also has sample packages

Good luck!! It is AWESOME to CD. I am a with UBCPFs + Pins + Dappi pants myself even though I have tried AIOs and fitted. There is something very rewarding about pinning, and I love the soft absorbency of CPFs, and how trim, light and leak-proof Dappi pull ons are!!!

I really like naturalbabies.com too. It's my favorite site for cloth diapers that I've found. They have great prices--and they even price match.
I almost sound like a commercial for them. :LOL
