I'm looking for a deal AND quality that will last.

My kids need black tights for a show they are in. I've exhausted the usual sources - I see only other colors.

I hardly ever buy anything new under duress, LOL. Sometimes off-season on a really great sale, but...???

And while I'm thinking of it, I also need white sundresses for my girls for a June wedding. Where would I find them for cheap? (Yes, I know...my sister didn't tell us until long after the end-of-summer sales.)

I was going to say Hannah Andersson has black tights... but reading jessaroo's post, walmarts are much cheaper.

I have bought Walmart and Target tights. They are fine in a pinch. But I love Lands End tights. Heavier cotton and they last and last.

Anyone know if Lands End nylon tights are as durable as their cotton ones? We love their cotton ones, but they don't have black right now (grr). They do have nylon black on sale right now with free shipping...still they are $6/pair (ouch), but if they are durable and will last more than one kid, I can see spending that.

For the sundresses....do they have to match? If not winter is a great time to find good deals on summer clothes at thrift stores and on ebay. Actually you may even be able to get matching since you have some time. Good luck!

Danskin tights will last until they are outgrown.
http://www.google.com/products?q=dan...ack&hl=en&aq=f

The ones I bought were not that durable, but this was a few years ago. The Danskin's were much nicer. If it's possible, I might try a Dance supply store if I wanted really good tights. Our local store gives dance teachers a 10% discount and I have a friend who teaches.

Thanks, everyone!

I got deals on Danskin tights for my oldest three through ebay but couldn't find my DD's size, so I just ordered her a Lands End pair. They all cost approx. the same, about $5 including shipping. It's good to know the Danskin ones will last and last, and the youngest's tights don't need to get handed down to anyone anyway.

I think this will be our only expense related to being in this production, so if I spend $5/kid total, I can live with that!!
