I've searched and searched and can't find that (fairly) recent thread about book recommendations for siblings. Someone recommended a book list put out by La Leche League of books to prepare older siblings for the arrival of baby. I'd love to get that link again if anyone has it. I searched the LLL website too and couldn't find it. It's so not my night for searches, lol.

That's too funny...I started that thread, and I can't find it either right now! Anyways, I was looking for it because I wanted to post that I bought "We Have a Baby". My dd is 18 months old and LOVES the book. I just went online today to see if I could get it in board book so she could "read" it by herself. She's always asking for it, and we read it about 10x/day. The pictures are very nice. There's a picture of the baby nursing while the toddler is having a snack in the mom's lap. The dad is shown throughout the book with the baby. It's a very nice book. The words are very simple, so good for my dd's age. I also bought "On Mother's Lap" by Ann Herbert Scott. I like it as well, but it's a little old for my dd. She loses interest by the middle. It's a lovely book though.

That's all I have for suggestions at this point. Good luck!

We just got Hello Baby! by Lizzie Rockwell out of the library and it's the best "we're having a baby" book I've found yet.

It shows the baby's development in the womb, from zygote to 40 weeks (DD saw the pic of a cluster of cells and said "Baby has lots of eyes!" ).

It also shows the mama BREAST FEEDING, which is, of course, cool.

Welcome with Love is a wonderful book if you're planning a homebirth. It's told from the brother's POV about his mom's labor and homebirth. Shows birth in the standing position, nursing, co-sleeping, etc.

http://www.amazon.com/Welcome-Love-J...7789751&sr=8-1
