Do you think that *percentage wise* Canada or the US is more into cloth diapering? Where I'm from in Canada - St. Catharines Ontario, it is not unheard of to CD, but where I live now, in NE Pennsylvania, it seems like cloth diapering is a thing of the past.

I can say that i am the ONLY person in the NYC suburb of mine that has even THOUGHT of cd!
I don't know - but I am always amazed at how many women I know who use cloth.

I'm not far from Toronto, Ontario.

My dad lives in St. Catharines!!!

I'm in Ottawa myself. I think there are a lot of "crunchy" type areas in the western areas of both countries (think BC'ish and California'ish). In my area, they are fairly uncommon... though I've found an AP mamas group on yahoo that most are into CDs.

We're kinda hippyish over here on the west coast ...so I actually know of a few moms that use cloth ...but unfortunately I know of more that use dd's.

IN Arizona, I know NO other people who CD personally. I know a few from online. I am converting a good friend however. I guess it is who you know and all as well.

But we spend a lot of time in BC at my parent's house and it seems no one ever says anything when I change him in public--here people ask and stare and touch, LOL. The lady at the health food stor wanted to see my whole stash, she was so shocked at CDs
So a toss up, but per my experience I think we are behind. Maybe it is the serious marketing campaign diaper manufacturers lol

Well, I hang out with MDC moms and most of them CD LOL. I also am part of a Families For Natural Living groups and I see lots of CD there too. I think I live in a bubble, so I see lots

On the other hand, I have a bunch of friends I have met thru wives groups from my husband's ship - nary a cloth diaper in sight with those friends, but lots breastfeed

I personally have NEVER known anyone who cd'd (Ohio). I know there's a few of us on here, but nothing like Canada and nothing like the west coast. There aren't alot of resources around here for cd'ing niether.

I live in Tucson and it seems everyone I've meet at least Cloth diapers partime. When I lived in Texas is was much more rare.

I definitely think that it's more common in Canada. I don't know ANYBODY that uses cloth in Massachusetts, except the few WAHM's that I've bought from. But they all live in Western MA anyways, and I'm in Boston. Everyone thinks they're cute but too much work. That's okay though, more dipe's for me!!!
Apparently it's more common in my area than I thought... A few of the consignment store owners I've talked to while shopping say they can't keep cloth diapers in their store more than a day or so. I know sposies are more popular though (I cringe every time I'm in Costco and see a cart with a baby and two cases of sposies go by). But I'm also maybe a 2 hour from the Canadian border.

From Kalamazoo, MI and not many moms seem to be cd-ing around here. None of the baby stores stock any cloth dipes or covers - which I find frustrating 'cause it makes it seem all that much easier for new parents to opt for sposies. I also received lots of negative feedback when I talked to women about cd-ing before my babe was born - like it would be too hard for me to do. I am having some issues with finding the right nite dipe and had to give up on keeping my dipes white cause of hard water - but all in all I think cloth is awesome for my ds.
I'm In Phoenix and everyone I know cds. Though very few use wahms. Most are pfs and proraps easily obtainable mass produced product like bumkins. Hey we have Baby Mine store here and thats something.

But precentage wise it seems like Canada wins.
