Yup! Our second as well. My SIL, due 2 weeks before me! and was at our last one, is even considering it this time around (well she was going to with her first but things changed). She's just figuring some stuff out first though. I'm excited for her.

most likely me!!!
This will be a UBA2C so I'm a bit nervous about the actual birthing part but excited too. If I could just get the fear of rupture out of my head I'd be fine.
MY last two pregnancies were really hands off so thats not going to be much different. (they were both planned homebirths, one turned c-section)

If I am pg, I am thinking of Ucing. Probably not Uping though, my family would freak. I supposedly ended up with pre-e after birth last time, so I would wanna put everyone at ease with that being checked on. I wont get the ultrasound, and I dont want to know the sex (ive done it both ways, and prefer not to know). But I do plan on having Uc birth with friends, and that will be after THREE csections

If I get to go to full term without any signs of pre-e, I can totally see myself UCing. We had planned a homebirth with midwife last time but that turned into a hospital induction after 3 weeks of bedrest with my BPs going through the roof. I will be lurking on the UC threads so I hope yall don't mind.
So what is everyone's reason for doing UC vs. HB with midwife? Its a money issue for me. We put ourselves in a bind last time to try to pay for the midwife only to lose the majority of that money when I got pre-e so its just not happening this time unless we are doubly blessed with alot of money and no pre-e 34 weeks from now.

Same here. If all goes well for me and I do end up UCing, no one except me and DH will know about it. My mother was fit to be tied last time when she found out about my HB with midwife plans. I told her to not saying anything if she couldn't be nice and she bit her tongue until I started getting sick with pre-e. Then she started in on me about not having a HB and how dangerous it was,
. She will so not know this time!!!

I will not be UPing and am searching for a HB midwife but I just informed my DP today that I might not feel like calling the midwife when I am actually in labor and would like to leave that option open. He seemed surprisingly ok with that, especially when I told him the whole "the cervix is a sphincter that works best in privacy like other sphincters" thing and explained to him how no outside person can possibly moniter me or my baby better than I can... So we might be having an "oops" UC depending on how I feel at the time and what kind of midwife I can find
: It just feels so good to finally have it out in the open with DP and have the option open!

I'm pretty much uping, but I'll be having an attended birth. DH is really insisting on the fetal anomaly scan, so we'll do that and hopefully that is it. I had a totally normal pregnancy with #1, so I'm hoping for the same this time around.
