I know lots of MDC mamas will be there!

DD and I are going to be in the Baltimore area the week before and are hoping to stay til Saturday and head to Sheep & Wool for the day. We've never been.

Any tips for going with a toddler? Are there shady places to picnic or just have some down-time away from the crowds?

Thanks, mamas!

Ian and I are planning to go! We're so excited! Okay, Ian is four months and couldn't care less...but he seems to have inherited mommy's textile fetish, so I'm sure he'll enjoy himself.

It's our first time, so we don't know about toddler areas... sorry. Any recommendations on things not to be missed?

I wouldlike to go, if I can get there. Maybe some of us can meet somewhere at the fair and have a little picnic lunch? I think that would be fun!

Me, me!

I love sheep. I would go almost anywhere to see sheep.

I think we're going Saturday, unless weather suggests that we wait until Sunday. I'm bringing my daughter (8 mo) and my husband (who does not understand my sheep love).

I LOVE the Sheep and Wool Festival!!! One thing NOT to miss is the sheep dog demonstrations! They do them every so many hours and you will want to get to that area early so you get a good view at the fence line. It fills up quick especially if it's a nice day. The demonstrations are at the bottom of the hill.

Glad to hear some other MDCers will be there! If we stay in the area til the end of the week, we'll try to make it to Sheep & Wool on Saturday. Don't know how we'd organize a meetup, but maybe I'll spot y'all there

I don't think we're going to make it after all...We're visiting relatives in Baltimore and after 3 days staying in an un-toddler-proofed house and sleeping with DD on a twin bed, I'm ready to go home! Plus, I doubt DD would be up for more than an couple of hours of the fest (but it'd mean staying over in the area an extra night) Sooo...maybe next year.
Have fun for me!
