I don't know, but I have one of my baby shirts, size 24 months, and it is the exact same size as DS's gerber shirt, size 12 months. I've noticed a growing trend in baby clothes getting wider and longer earlier...I wonder why that is. It's annoying though.

Yes, I know that the gown is supposed to be long. LONG.

But a newborn is not as wide in the shoulders as a 2-year old and that gown is an excellent shoulder width on DD.

And look at the length of the sleeves too - right down to DD's wrists.

And the neck opening is HUGE, even fully done up.

This is why I put all baby/kid clothes on hangers and just check length and such while they're hanging next to each other.

Right now, I'm in a bit of a quandry with clothing size for DS. He has a huge waist (still has a milk belly). He's 2 years old, 30 lbs, 36" tall. His height is mostly in his torso, so he can't go bigger than 24month/2T pants due to leg length. But... his waist needs bigger than that! Ugh! We're still squeezing into mostly 24 month pants (I think 2T actually gets narrower because the T sizes are expecting the toddler to have LOST the milk belly?!?!?), but I really don't know what I'll do if his waist gets any bigger, and I'm sure it will! He's not a chubby child by any means - just carries all his fat in his milk belly. His arms and legs are really skinny (born 10.5 weeks preemie, and never really gained the fat in those areas). I'll probably have to make his pants myself pretty soon.

Oh, and for the PP that thought the subject was talking about World Health Organization... I thought the same thing!!!!!

My son was pretty disportionate when he was little - I had to make his pants myself. He was only about 6months long, but his waist was an easy 24months !
