I'm already trying to lose weight, but I have a long way to go. I can be your buddy though. I started working out at the gym last Monday 3-4 times a week and we've changed our eating. I lost 3 lbs the first week, but I still have 62 lbs left to get to where I want.
Hey there Noorjahan..
Ill be your buddy or everyones buddy...
I do not go to the gym..I hate them and will never go ...I have been trying to eat better and go for walks ..the past few weeks have been not so good but its better now and I am ready to get back on track...

I'm in! Today I am 28 and am at least 30 lbs overweight. I am ready to feel better about myself.

Let me know how you want to keep this group going. I think just continuing this thread or starting a new one would work, or we can do private emails. I'm up for whatever.

Yeah, I'm going to the gym 3-4 times a week, usually 3 - Mon, Wed, Fri. Then on Tues, Thurs, Sat I work out at home. Sundays are usually my off day, since we get together with family or go to the zoo or mountains or something fun. I'm not really dieting - just eating healthy. I'm staying away from junk food and am eating lots of fruits and veggies. I do allow myself little treats so I don't go crazy though. I'm drinking 95% water only, but I still allow myself a mountain dew once a week when I go shopping. If I do buy chips or candy, I seperate it into single size portions. That way I'm not tempted to sit and eat the entire bag. I lost another 3 lbs last week , so things are still going good here.
nah..I wasnt really looking to do one of them diets things...I could never stick to it...
I was thinking more like what foods to cut and what healthy ones to add, and exercise.
I dont drink coffie or soda that thats no prob for me ...I hardly ever snack between meals and dont really eat junk all that much, except when SO buys doritoes ...ohh boy...
So I will be cutting all snacking between meals , and I want to stop eating meat. Lately I have had a sudden disgust for meat. I dunno why, But I am going to go with it,,,....
I will aso be talking a walk everyd ay for at least 30 min. weather permiting.

so its not really much of a plan but its a start.

Let us know when Ramadan is over.....
I'm in, starting Monday.

At the moment I weigh 170.. I would love to eventually get back to my pre-pregnancy weight (125), but for now I'm setting a goal of 20 lbs.

My plan is to cut out all fast food & snacks. Walk at least an hour each day, and I'm considering joining a gym. Wish me luck! (i need it lol)
I'm still going strong here. Things have been crazy this week though with school. I've had several tests and big projects due. Why are things always due at once? Anyway, I'll post a longer update in a day or two. I've still got one more paper to finish.
I wil join you guys. I could use the support. I am currently 40 lbs over weight, weighing in at 180. I'm 5'6 and would like to weight 135 again. From past experience I know that what works for me is jogging. I have belonged to a gym in the past, but also can't stand it.

Last night I jogged for the first time in a LONG time. I am following a plan to slowly build up to running 30 minutes straight in 8 weeks. Last night I jogged a minute, walked 2. Repeated 10X. I felt GREAT afterwards and KNOW I got a terrific, much needed workout. So I hope to continue doing this and see the lbs. melt away as they did after each of my pregnancies when I was jogging.

As far as diet goes, I am watching portions and eating whole, healthy foods. Wish me luck!
Woohoo...needed someplace to get more encouragement. Maybe we should do an introduction of some sort formally? I'll start

Goal: 20 lbs. by February and then evaluate for further weight loss, generally improved muscles too

Current weight/size: 193 (3 wks. ago b/c I can't get back tot he scale *lol*), size 16

Goal weight/size: 175 and whatever size corresponds? Eventually would like to be between 145-155, but I want to start with a small goal and reward myself so that I don't get overwhelmed

Plan: Going to Gym at least 3 x week and improving eating, continued BFIng for added calorie burning

Challenges to overcome: Chocolate, lack of time, and snacking at work

Do we want to keep a thread going each day of eats and exercise?
Hey mamas! I'm going to join in. I need all the motivation I can get. I need to lose 20+ pounds. I will not have been that low ever in my adult life. I worked very hard and was 5 lbs within my goal weight and then I got pregnant with ds. He's now 16 months and I am still carrying the some of the baby weight and those 5 lbs. I'm 5'7" and 165lbs. I started running again about 6 weeks ago(that's how I lost the weight the first time and diet of course) but aren't losing much because I am still eating like crap. I've had to get honest with myself about it. So I am doing everything I can to strengthen my resolve and treat my body better. My biggest problem is snacking at work and the hour before bed. That is where the extra calories are piling in. I'm running 5x a week (various lengths) and at the end of the month I am starting a Yoga class. Anything to keep me moving as winter closes in.

I'll check in with everyone later!
oh i would love to join. i'm in the same weight range as a few others here. i weigh about 135 and would like to get to 115.

i work out several times a week and would like to move closer to a raw diet.
Ok Ill intro myself as well...

I am 31 yrs old and have 2 gorgious girls(in my sig line...)
It took me a long time to get back to my regular size after my 1st DD, I really didnt care much but then I started to gain more weight,,,,,I finally go back down to a fluctuating weight of 115-120..then I got pregs...now it has been 16 mo and I still have baby weight.

My goal:to be back to 115
Planning to cut out snacking whichj should nt be much trouble since I really dont anyways. and cut my portions which is my downfall..

I am going to try to walk everyday weather permitting..

I am starting monday Nov. 7th....

Good luck ladies..
