Watch out, Whole Foods Market brand DHA is now made from fish oil instead of algae. They did not change the appearance of the bottle, so I had been unaware of the change. I'm now very worried about the mercury exposure. As soon as I found out about the change, I immediately discontinued taking them. We have switched to another brand.

mama. From what I understand, many fish oil supplements do NOT contain mercury. I would find out from Whole Foods if their particular supp is free of it. Honestly, I would be surprised if it did contain mercury considering their products are supposed to be high quality. I DOUBT it contains mercury. I don't take supplements myself, but I was impressed with their standards, when I attended a WF lecture.

Even if the fish used doesn't contain mecury, I'd be hoppin' mad that the bottles look the same but some have an algae formulation and some use fish. That's really tricky
