<p>Is there such a thing?  The slow cooker cookbooks I've seen include a lot of cream of chicken/musroom soups and other things that I don't want to use.  I'd love to hear any recommendations for a whole foods slow cooker cookbook!</p>

<p>The reason "they" love those cream soups so much in crock pot recipes is that they're basically evaporated milk (with the added benefit of a crapload of salt and MSG, mm yum) so they make the sauce creamy without curdling. You can sub in a can of evaporated milk and some seasonings if you want the creaminess but not the junk. I haven't found organic evaporated milk anywhere, though.</p>

<p>Other than that I tend to google individual recipes and try to adapt them to be healthier if I can. That cookbook vbactivist recommended looks great, though!</p>
