Everytime I get on someone has had a baby! I am happy for you....just not for me! So who is still waiting? Do you feel like it could be anytime or still aways off?

I now believe I will be pregnant forever. I am not carrying a baby but an elephant and therefore needs to two years to gestate !

Midwife thinks he is at least eight punds and I still have 8 days till my due date.

Me! Due tomorrow. Last night, after Lula nursed for an hour, I got my first series of contractions. They came every few minutes for 4 hours, until DP got home. We thought it was such a good sign that we, um, inserted prostaglandins to keep it going - and then the contractions stopped! So far this morning, nothin'.

Me!

I'm due tomorrow, but don't really expect to have this baby anything soon. I'm feeling pretty discouraged and depressed, really, with everything that's going on in my life, and wish I could just meet my baby already.

Count me in! I am 39 weeks 1 day - so 6 days till my 'due date'. I am going in for a massage on Saturday and the girl said she would hit some of the labor points (reflexology) so I am hoping that might jump start something. Otherwise I think I will probably go a couple days over. My thoughts are that the baby will be born this weekend or next weekend - but not during the week. We shall see! I booked my calander for all next week in an attempt to keep myself busy and not think about my due date :LOL

I'm still here. I'm almost 39 weeks. I know it is irrational to feel depressed when it's not even my due date yet but I just feel so miserable. Yesterday when I logged on and saw that two of us (neither of whom were me) had had their babies I actually cried. Don't get me wrong I am happy for them I am just not happy for myself or those around me. lol.
My sister, who is a midwife in training, measured me today and said I am measuring dead on. She also had me see how many fingers would fit comfortably between my bones and the tip of my uterus. I could fit two. The old wives tale has it that means I have two week to go....

Count me in....38 weeks, 4 days. I am so exhausted, I don't think I can get up in the morning. I took off work yesterday and it was soo nice...I cat-napped and got things done around the house and visited my grandparents. Then, I couldn't really sleep last night. Neither could Shanon...so he went down to the couch to try to get comfy in a new venue. Next time I woke up, I felt very much like I missed him, so I went downstairs and curled up on the two ottomans that make the couch like a big chaise lounge. We slept there for quite a while and went back to bed. I was so invigorated this morning...but by 11:30 am, it was gone. I am sooo sleepy. I haven't gotten anything done in two hours.

I feel sooo whiny, I just can't bring myself to complain to people. Nevertheless...It's all I can do not to go to the back office and complain to Shanon. Poor guy....he has to work with me, too.

Even Shanon is knocking on my belly, saying, "Come on out....I wanna meet you NOW!!"

I'm sooooo ready to have this baby. Screw it if the tub hasn't arrived yet!!

I feel like an idiot but I'm not sure what bone it is. It moght be your breast bone. It's the bone that stops right before your bulgeing belly begins!LOL.

Still here -- I had mild contrax all day yesterday & was sure that by today I would be in full out labor...last night they must have stopped as soon as I went to bed, and I've only had 2 since I got up at 8am... I was thinking about going for a nice brisk walk, but I think I'd end up too annoyed if I did that & got things going only to have them stop again, kwim?

I am due tomorrow & I was so sure I would have baby early... ah well! My friend came up & blew up my pool last night & her son & mine ran around inside it & played -- I got a few pics & dh pulled out the video camera & tested it, so that was nice. Ah well, I'm just trying to relax & not worry about it so I don't go insane, lol.

Still here, almost 41 weeks....

I also had lots of contractions yesterday and was so sure I'd go into labor overnight. Nothing doing. Today I finally went food shopping (I had been postponing it for two weeks because the baby was "about" to be born), so now at least we have some food to eat. I went for a long walk, but now my hips and pelvis are killing me.

Took a nap. trying to keep from going stir crazy too. Haviing had one baby on time and one a week early, I never for a moment considered being late! Boy is it a whole different psychological ball-game.

MW has said I can go ahead and try the blue and black cohosh, but for some reason it doesn't feel right to "tinker" with nature yet (ask me again in a week!!)

I don't have any room between that breast bone and my belly!!

The labor map NEVER has orange or brown in Vermont. Never!

Fighting big-time discouragement and tired of being seen in public. Even people are starting to avoid me because they can see that look in my eyes!! I want to hang a sign around my neck: "Yes, I am overdue, No I do not know what it is, Yes I have heard all the tricks for starting labor!!"

Glad to share in everyone's frustration, together, we'll make it through!

...and still waiting with all of you!

With #1 we were sure he would come early for some reason, and so, had everything done like 4 weeks ahead of my due date. Well, he was induced 6 days over.

So, with this one - while I wish he would come early and I could have him home in time for Christmas - I definitely haven't been in the same "rush" to get things done as I was with #1. So then I think to myself that, because I have so much left to do, he will probably come early when I'm not as prepared as I want to be.

At least with this one I am having contractions. I didn't have any, ever, with #1 until they induced me with pitocin. These ones I have now are noticeable and becoming more menstrual-like sometimes... so I'm choosing to take that as a good sign and probably I'm subconciously thinking that he will come any day now. : Which means that he won't.

39 weeks, 3 days and still cooking!

I've had alot of BH contractions, but nothing that would make me think "oh, thats a real one!". My belly gets so tight and uncomfortable. When I sit down my boobs rest on the top of it and get all sweaty. My hips make a loud cracking noise when ever I change positions. I really want to have this baby now...
I've had a few menstrual like cramps yesterday and this morning, and last night my belly had dropped some - so it looked like I was sagging. I am hoping that things get going. I have a midwife appointment today, but so far they havn't offered to check me, so who knows if they will today. There's been no talk of it at all, and I don't really want to ask. I'm afraid I'll be dissapointed.

40 weeks 4 days

I'm still here, too! I've been having contractions ALL day, EVERY day for over a month now. Sometimes so intensely I have to stop and breath through them. I've been to the chiro, and had contractions all night, and then they stopped in the AM - ugh!

My dd was a week late when I was induced, so I have no idea what to expect, especially since I refuse to be induced this time. I'm tired of not being able to shave, and if one more person calls or asks me when I'm due I think I'll go crazy. Even my MIL called today, despite having spoken with them LAST NIGHT!!!! I don't know what's worse - this neverending/starting labor, or my in-laws being so darned nosy and annoying. Of course that may just be hormonal, too! Not that I expect it to be better once the baby's born - I was a lunatic after our dd was born. Funny thing is that I knew it at the time, but I was unable to stop or control it! We already laid down the law this time regarding visitors, so hopefully that situation will be avoidable!

And I thought for sure I was going to go early this time...

Sorry to be such a downer - it's been a rough day. Hopefully we'll all have our healthy babies tonight!

I'm here, too! The nurse was able to check me today -- I'm so proud of myself, I was a baby last week and squirmed away and squealed when she tried to lift his head and get a finger in there (TMI!), so this week I didn't think she'd want to check but she did. So I asked her for 10 minutes to prepare, and I used all of my labor techniques and yoga breathing and made it through the exam:

50% effaced, 2 centimeters dilated. ! I would have cried if there was no progress, after all the prodromal labor last week (nothing worth noticing this week).

I hope that the exam will kick-start things. After my due date, I'm willing to do EPO, black cohosh, etc., but until then, want him to cook till he's ready, even though I am in near constant back/hip/groin pain.

And, now that I've made it through the exam, by myself, I feel more confident again about natural labor.

Hugs and best wishes to all!!! Especially the "overdue" mamas.

I am 10 dyas away from my due date. I have been 2.5 cm dilated for more than a week, but found no new progress this week. Here's hoping things get moving relatively soon!

I'm here too at 37 weeks 5 days. The baby definitely dropped three days ago, and he went OP a few hours later. I am a little concerned with that. I'm trying to emotionally prepare myself for a hospital birth. My last birth was at home, but due to financial constraints, I am going to the hospital this time. I'm also not happy about the fact that I tested group b strep positive and have to have antibiotics during labor.

My mood swings have been horrible this week, and I'd like to have the baby soon for everyone's sake! But my earliest was six days early and my latest was five days late, so that means most likely he will be born sometime between the 19th and the 30th.
