I always have a stuffy nose. My father and brother have the same problem. I've been like this ever since I can remember but, have never figured out why.
I am pretty sure I'm allergic to most pollens and dust, animals ect. but, I have been on a boat in the middle of the ocean and I was still stuffy!

It just seems as if my sinus are to narrow or inflamed all the time or something. Could it be sinusitis?
I have no insurance and can't really afford to see a Dr. about it. I'm not exactly looking to treat it anyway, at this point it is second nature but, I am curious as to why. Any ideas?

I have had the exact same problem for years.

Incidently, I was born and raised in Martinsville VA. Maybe our similar climates have something to do with it? Though I have been living in IL for the past three years and the weather is different in many ways up here.

I was like that forever until I cut out cow dairy. I used to have piles of used tissues next to my bed every morning when I woke up, tissue boxes all over the house, the car, etc.

I cut out dairy and it stopped. Of course, I didn't realize it. A couple of yrs later while pregnant w/#2 I was craving some jalepeno poppers. Within a couple of days, my snot was back, w/a vengence. And cramps, diarrhea, and some other great stuff.

I have cut it out again and will never go back to the stuff. I can tolerate goat's milk no problem though.

I think thats it!
The weather is a BIG pain for me! I'm actually from Louisa, Va, moved here last year, but the climate is pretty much the same. If it is Vasomotor Rhinitis that is causing this, it makes perfect sense. The weather here is so friggin unpredictable!
I do have some dairy issues, I was told to cut out dairy when I was a kid because of my sinuses. I never did, I liked it too much. If thats true, goats milk must also be a trigger for me. I've been milking my own goats since May.
That is really interesting about the tobacco and the other things. Growing up my mom just said I was "allergic" to everyone and evreything.
Perfumes and lotions are a big problem for me also and, I don't even want to think about the laundry detergent aisle at the store!

Anyway, thanks for all your help!
