I just purchased my first 2 pocket diapers. I bought one Happy Heiny (very cute puppy paw print) and one Haute Pocket (huge!). I have never even seen pocket diapers until now, but I know so many love them. I know 2 people personally who love their Fuzzi Bunz.<br><br>
So, why do you like pocket diapers? What's so great about them? I know some use them exclusively, why? I'm just curious.<br><br>
Thanks!

I use Fuzzi Bunz and BumGenius pockets every day. I love pockets because they're simple to use, simple to care for, and they dry quickly. I especially like that the insert comes out and is washed outside of the diaper. I feel that they get cleaner that way, though that's just my opinion.

I like the fact that they dry fast. That's pretty much all I really want out of a diaper, aside from it fitting well and not leaking. We are doing our best to conserve energy along with everything else.. so for us pockets, microfiber towels, flats, and covers are the winners.

I like my HHs because they're adorable! Well, that aside, I like that you can add more absorbency when needed. My husband prefers them over other diapers because they're easy and the velcro allows for a truer fit. We've never had a problem with them either.<br><br>
As a side note, we also use prefolds and fitteds. But the HHs make up about 50% of our planned stash for this next baby.

I am still building my stash so I am only CDing 90% of the time. I have one BG which works really well but I find to be bulky. I have 1 FB which I love and am planning to buy 3-6 more. I've never had any leaks with either of these diapers. I have 2 HH and I love the fact they come in prints but they are not reliable diapers and they are too bulky. Every time I put them on my son the outside part of the diaper gets soaking wet. I also have 6 SB and I love them. They are super trim and fit just like a sposie.<br><br>
Overall I like pockets b/c they are easy to use and looks so cute!

We use FB when we go out and at night. I like them because I can change the absorbency as needed, and I don't have to worry about leaks when we're out.

they are super easy for people who do not normally use cloth diapers to put on!

Same as above. They dry easily and can be customized so that we can use one hemp or mt insert during the day for trimness, but stuff with more at night for absorbency.<br><br>
Most of my stash is pockets (we used fitteds/prefolds when DD was younger but now it's hard to slow her down for a change, we go with pockets or AIOs).<br><br>
I admit I'm getting a bit tired of all the pre-stuffing though so as she outgrows her mediums, I'm substituting in a few AIOs - I'm loving the MonkeyDoodlez microdoodlez. I just have to remember that they take a bit longer to dry.<br><br>
Oh, and the HH prints? Yep. I've loved ours - we had dragons and dinos and fairies... but I've put them away. She always ends up damp in them as soon as she pees. However, Mommy's Touch has some nice prints, and I've just preordered a new FB print - they're polyester so they won't wick. And Luke's Drawers have nice prints and are constructed so they're not as likely to wick. Not as easy to put on as the HH, but at least gives us a bit of variation!

We started out with Kissaluvs and although we really liked them, they took 200 years to dry. It really showed in our electric bill. Pockets are very easy and I find sposie users seem to be really interested in them when they see me changing DD. They're good for converting. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol"> Also, DH is not the best with diaper changes and pockets are pretty idiot proof.

They're so easy and fit well! I've just been cd'ing 3 weeks or so with mostly pf's, and pockets are so easier imo. DS has super chunky thighs and I'm haveing some issues with his covers (over a pf) leaving marks on his legs. The pockets seem so soft around the legs. So far I have one fb, bg 2.0, hugga buns, a AI2 (similar but you don't stuff) and 2 hp I'm waiting to try. I love them and much easier for DH. I used one last night and it worked great and it was my first night to cd.

With my 3 month old, I don't mind putting on more than one piece (diaper, cover), but for my 2 year old, it's a different story!<br><br>
I like AIOs and pockets for him...The pros of the pockets are the drying time, they seem to get cleaner, and you can stuff them with whatever.

I like that they dry a little faster, though I have to let my inserts dry for another 30 min after I pull out the covers...

I'm sure this is a stupid question <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> but I haven't used any diapers yet... Do you get pee all over your hands pulling the insert out? I guess in my mind I just see myself having to pluck a pee soaked pad out of the middle of a dirty diaper.

Not a stupid question <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> Most of the time when I pull out the insert it's not wet all the way to the back of the diaper. If the diaper is super wet, I just shake the insert out of the diaper into the pail or washer.

Cute. Convenient. Dry fast. Trim. Simple. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile"> I don't mind stuffing them at all. Once I got the limited detergent choices and stripping down, I found them so easy.

Most of the time mine aren't wet in the back, at least not his daytime diapers b/c he is changed after every feeding which is about 2h apart...and he is not a heavy wetter. His diaper after 7pm tend to wetter b/c I only change them after every other feeding to not wake him up fully at each night feeding.

My mom referrs to our pockets as my disposables. I use them at night and for outings. Just seems easier for some reason. They can also be very trim. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
