Is anyone else experiencing this? Sorry if this is TMI, but over the last few days my vulva is soooo sore, it's hard to walk. I have had this sensation throughout my pg, but not half as bad as the last few days. I remember a post a couple months back suggesting varicose veins, but I don't think that's it. I am one month from my dd, so maybe it's just pressure?

I don't have the chance to keep up with all the treads so if anyone has posted the same question recently, maybe someone could direct me to it? Oh, and also if anyone is/has experienced the same thing, did anything help to RELIEVE it? I've had a fairly active pregnancy, and don't want to spend my last month sitting in a chair.
: Last night I started using witch hazel, but so far havn't noticed a difference.

dum dum dum Da Da DUM DUM! Pressure! Pressin' down on me...

Oh, sorry, I got carried away.

Yeah, it sounds like the baby has dropped, maybe? Anyway, yes, I've had this displeasure. It feels bruised! Ouchy! You might try either cold or warm compresses.

oh, yes... time to make the "crotchsicles"! (dampen a large sanitary pad and freeze, and apply as needed).

sounds like things are stretching and loosening up. you might want your caregiver to take a peek and check for varicosities, though. i think there are herbal sitz baths you can do to help out.

no fun, mama! hope you nip this in the bud...

That's exactly how I felt with mine. The thing you have to take is, if I am not mistaken, witch hazel TINCTURE. The drug store stuff will help with some of the swelling and discomfort, but I don't think that's the answer unless you want a compress there for the next month!

That is how I feel when the Pubic Symphasis Seperation kicks in... as it seemed to do today!

Hurts more when standing on one foot and rolling over in bed can bring tears to your eyes (these are the hallmarks for diagnosis from what I've read/been told). I started to have it a few weeks ago and went to a chiropractor. He really has helped my lower back and hip pain, but the PS pain is still getting worse. Today I felt like something popped and have been having searing pain ever since!

My thought was 'slipped on the balance beam', but I know what you mean. Luckily mine comes and goes, but i'm only 19 wks. It's more of days I've been up walking around - that's what seems to make a big difference with me. Unfortunatly I have a whole list of ligament pain, previously broken tailbone, etc that only feel better if I rest - I'm afraid I'm going to gain 100 lbs this pregnancy!

If you find anything that works let us know. I'm ok for now, but dreading getting further into this pregnancy.

Have you tried stretching exercises? The chiropractor explained to me that even though it feels like soft tissue bruising, the pain can be caused by ligaments and that stretching the surrounding muscles can help. I have much less pain on days I stretch than on days I don't.

I lie in bed on my back (with a pillow supporting me) and bend my knees so feet are flat. Take my right leg and place my ankle on my left thigh, near the knee. Then, gently press on the knee (away from me). Then I do the other side. It is very gentle, but I hold it for quite awhile. It stretches the buttocks and makes a difference.

Standing up, I place my foot on a low stool/box/stair and bend very slightly at the waist to stretch the hamstring.

I also do pelvic tilts (standing up) to stretch the lower back.

These three exercises every morning, early evening and before bed have made a HUGE difference in my quality of life during this pregnancy!!!

Thanks for all the suggestions- yes the rolling over in bed is HELL right now. I have an appointment tomorrow, so I'll see what else I can find out. It didn't bother me enough to bother asking until now. On the up side, it didn't feel nearly as bad yesterday and today seems okay too. I will definately try some of the suggestions though- and my sympathy to the rest of you going through this.
