Why is every pg different?

I was just wondering why it's perfectly normal to have completely diff symptoms for diff pgs (same woman)? Why would your body respond differently to pg the 2nd, 3rd, etc time around?

I am guessing because you have different people inside of you each time? My kids are really different from each other on the outside and they made me feel really different when they were on the inside...clearly that isn't an actual reason, but just my gut response.

I think that must be right...though it is amazing to me how differently you can feel. Everyone is convinced that this baby is a girl because of how nauseous I've been, but I don't know.

My friend who has six boys has said that she felt differently, nauseous or not, with each baby...that traits they had in utero held after birth.

Maybe it's mother nature's way of preparing us for when the new baby arrives, so we're more keen on what they need from us?

God, I hope that doesn't mean this baby will be colicky

I agree that each baby is different. I also think that we are different with each pregnancy. Our habits, weight, chemistry, muscle vs fat ratio is ever changing. Also, for some of us with our first pregnancy we only had to take care of ourselves so it was easier to catch a nap here and there. When you have other children that is much harder, I know my cute little alarm clocks wake me up earlier that I would like
I think I am more tired this pregnancy because I have 4 kids that need me, not sure why I'm more nauseaus.

I had almost no nausea with my first, and she was colicky, so I don't think that holds, LOL.

Very different pg symptoms here too, and I'm MUCH more relaxed this time around, so you'd think I'd feel better

I agreee that my pregnancies were very different and my kids are VERY different. Everyone kept trying to tell me that my second was going to be a boy. I really almost believed it. But they also told me that cuz of my heartburn, she would have tons of hair. Girl and BALD!!!! My last pregnancy was very trying, and you know, the baby was trying also
This time it is very differnt. I go between not feeling pregnant, like I did with my first and feeling horrible. So maybe this child will be the mediator of my kids??? But even with how different my pregnancies were they didn't prepare me for the differences I would end up seeing with my kids. I wish it had. But up until she was like 6 months, I was saying things like, this wasn't how it was the first time around. It was very hard for me to accept. I THINK I am ready for the differences of this child, THINK. We willhave to wait and findout, eh?
