This is my fourth baby, and I've breastfed all of them...No problems, but I did have supply issues with the third due to c. difficile/not nursing/not knowing what was going on...etc. Anyway...My daughter is a week old today. It always takes 4-5 days for my milk to come in, and that didn't change this time either...however, now that my milk is here, I expected to be having somewhat painful letdowns, and spraying/leaking all over the place, as I have always had in the past, in the beginning. But not this time. I know it is in, as I hear the suck/swallow going on, and she is a good eater and has good output. I do feel a letdown, but it is not very strong...more of a tingling and not at all "almost" painful. I have not had to use a nursing pad yet, and I've bought three pairs of the expensive lana wool pads...lol. I guess, not that I'm complaining, but it's just weird to me, and it kinda scares me at the same time...I mean, this won't mean I'm going to have a supply issues, will it? Do some people just never have to use pads? Do letdowns vary? I keep waiting for it to just hit me, but so far...nothing...
