My upper back (around and between the shoulder blades), buttocks when I sit, legs and arms to a lesser degree are going all tingly and not quite numb. It's maddening! I can't sit long, I can't stand long, and I can't lay down for long without this happening. Any ideas?

It's a burning tingling sorta numb thing and it's really frustrating. I have some auto immune issues and I deal with joint pain, but this is new on me. Any ideas?

There are several things that can cause the symptoms you describe

1. Pinched nerves

2. Beginnings of a shingles outbreak

3. Liver toxicity (exposure to pesticides, environmental toxins, heavy metals, etc)

4. A type of neuropathy

Acupuncture can really help. I recently treated a patient who had a numb, tingly feeling on her entire back. It took a series of treatments but it did clear up and she's as happy as can be.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Thanks for your response! It's nice to at least have things to consider.

I have what is most likely Systemic Lupus, and probably some accompanying disorders. I am thinking the back thing is related to pressure somewhere else because when I stand or sit for too long it's unbearable.
